Do I have to stay at the hotel to attend? No, but we strongly recommend it! Ecchi Expo® conventions are BUILT around staying on site all weekend - this is not a come-and-go comic con. Nothing against comic cons that start at 10am and end at 5pm, but Ecchi Expo® is literally developed around staying Friday through Sunday at the host hotel, with almost 40+ hours of programming, concerts, panels, performances, burlesque shows, shibari workshops, cosplay, shopping, exclusive screenings, after parties, raves, escape rooms, anime-themed cocktails and snacks, an authentic Japanese Maid Café, and much more. Ecchi Expo® also works closely with each host hotel to receive a HUGE discount on room rates. It's almost guaranteed that our group rate will be as low or lower than surrounding hotels, plus you are only an elevator-button away from storing your items in your room or changing in/out of cosplay.
-
Do I have to be 18+ to enter?Yes! Every attendee is required to be 18+ and present a valid federal or state ID upon entry each day. We take this very seriously and will not make exceptions.
-
Is the hotel room included in the ticket? No, they are separate purchases. Most hotels charge more per night than our entire admission ticket, but we receive a HUGE discount for attendees staying on site. We highly encourage all attendees to stay on site, as our programming schedule is built around staying at the hotel all weekend.
-
Can I dress however I want?Inside Ecchi Expo®, yes. Just wear something - no cosplay is not cosplay. Outside of Ecchi Expo® in the common areas of the hotel, absolutely not. Every attendee who enters the public space of the hotel must be covered up in attire that would be deemed as appropriate for public decency laws. This policy ensures that other hotel guests with children or guests who are more reserved in nature are not disturbed by our event. Ecchi Expo® staff will not allow an attendee wearing overtly revealing or provocative attire to leave the convention and enter the hotel. We work very hard to ensure we have a great relationship with our hotel properties and will not allow an indecently dressed attendee to jeopardize the working relationship with the hotel or other hotel guests who did not sign up to see scantily clad cosplayers. Ecchi Expo® offers complimentary coat checks at Registration and also sells exclusive monogrammed silk robes. TLDR: There is no reason an attendee should enter the public area of the hotel dressed indecently - don't do it. It jeopardizes the entire event from ever happening again.

What is your refund policy? As stated on the TIXR website and all ticket descriptions, all sales are final and will not be refunded or exchanged. PLEASE ensure you are able to attend the event prior to purchasing a ticket. We also know that real life happens. In the event you cannot attend, you may log into your TIXR account and change the name of the ticket holder to a friend or family member who will go in your place.
